START ESLIDA - COSTERA MOUNTAIN TRACK  (Km 6,8)

Distance: 6,8 km. +634 | -446

The route starts in Eslida, with a quick start with a first 500 metres on the flat, and after crossing the CV223, a loop through the most attractive streets of Eslida, where the first 70 metres of elevation gain are made. The exit from the village is along an asphalted track until taking the path that leads to the La Costera track, and then a SL that starts next to the repeater and takes us to the Alto de La Costera. This climb, although with loose stones, is moderate. At the top there is a crest that connects with the GR36 and with the first descent, very vertical and fast, with a good route, which returns to the La Costera track and, after about 700m, to the first refreshment point.

MOUNTAIN TRACK COSTERA - MATILDE FOUNTAIN (Km 10,4)

Distance: 3,6 km. +296 | -457

To the left of the refreshment post there is a path on a Roman road along which the GR36 runs, which climbs up to Coll Roig. Leave the GR and take the PR to the right, which climbs steeply towards the Nevera de Fondeguilla and reaches the Pla del Tarraguán. Once there, a long descent of great beauty through a dense forest and easy to run through, crossing the CV219 twice, leads to the Matilde Fountain, a very popular place with the public and companions and where the second refreshment point is located.

MATILDE FOUNTAIN - COLL DE BARRES (Km 15,4)

Distance: 5 kM. +639 | -269

After leaving the Matilde and crossing the CV219 again, the emblematic climb to Puntal de l'Aljub begins. A very visual climb that constantly leaves Eslida at the foot of the runner. As you go on, the vegetation and the ground changes, going from a leafy area to a rocky area with an easy climb. An average gradient of 28% in just under 2km. Once at the peak, we go around the antennas and start a soft cresting with rope steps with slight exposure, and then a running path that will take us to the third refreshment point at the Coll de Barres.

COLL DE BARRES - AIN (Km 20,7)

Distance: 5,3 km. +331 | -625

This section begins with a short climb that leads to the Alto de la Batalla or Benialí, an open area with little vegetation, which offers a stunning view of almost the entire route, with Aín to the left and Eslida to the right. A brief crest and a quick, vertical descent begins along a local path, with loose stones and a certain amount of danger, between ferns and maritime pines. After 2km of descent, you will reach the crossing where the marathon separates from the Eslida half-marathon, and the cut-off point for time. There we will go to the left along a PR that is more of a runner and with lush vegetation, which will take us to the Font de Sant Ambrós and Aín, where the fourth refreshment station and the material control point are located.

AÍN - COLL DE LA ÍBOLA (Km 26,2)

Distance: 6,5 km. +675 | -362

After leaving Aín and crossing the CV200, a very slow climb begins in one of the most beautiful areas of the race, which will take us along the Canyaret path towards Penya Pastor and La Finestra. The first part is very steep, crossing several rocky areas and ending in an unexposed climb. This is followed by a cresting area with vegetation of high ecological value up to the Pico Espadán. The last part of this section is a descent with a very technical start that in just over 2km leads to the fifth refreshment point at the Coll de La Íbola.

COLL DE LA ÍBOLA - BARRANC DE LA CARITAT (Km 30)

Distance: 3,8 km. +180 | -335

BARRANC DE LA CARITAT - CASA MOSQUERA (Km 34)

Distance: 4 km. +356 | -312

From the refreshment point at Barranc de La Caritat, we climb the Barranc del Roig, a marked biological reserve area from start to finish, where we have to be very careful in order to preserve a protected species of ferns. It is one of the most beautiful areas of the race, always surrounded by lush wetland vegetation. An easy path takes us to the Coll de L'Ereta, where we start a technical descent through spectacular cork oak groves to the Casa Mosquera, where we find the seventh refreshment point, where it is obligatory to fill up with water.

CASA MOSQUERA - PUNTAL DE L'ALJUB (Km 40)

Distance: 6 km. +667 | -338

From La Casa Mosquera, we walk about 300 metres along a dirt track until we find a zigzagging path with a moderate slope that leads to a short cresting area, with views of the rocky Carrascal. We then descend to a col where the very tough ascent to Penya Blanca begins, with slopes that reach 70% and a lot of broken stone. Once we reach the peak, a gentle cresting area begins, very visual, open to the sea and the mountain. We will follow the same ridge as in the first ascent to Puntal, in the opposite direction, until we reach the antennas, where we will find the eighth refreshment point.

PUNTAL DE L'ALJUB - ESLIDA FINISH LINE (Km 42,5)

Distance: 2,5 km. +30 | -664

From the Puntal, a long downhill section begins with a very steep slope and a lot of loose stones, but with a stunning view of Eslida. After reaching a col, it links up with a cresting area where there is an arch with a large group of volunteers, starting the last 1.5km descent to the finish line. This descent, called Homage to the Runner, runs along a recovered path towards the Molí d'Aire, and from there to a final gorge area. Until the finish line, it is time to assimilate what you have experienced in a race made for the runner and enjoy the condition of Finisher Dement!
